Mamaia
Mamaia resort, named “pearl of Romanian Littoral”, is situated in North of Constanta, at 5 km far of this, located on the sandy band, between Black Sea's shore and Siutghiol Lake and is the oldest spa of the Romanian seaside. The first touristical arrangement – a wood deck which enters in the sea, with cabins on both sides, had appeared in 1906. After the first World War, the spa obtains a huge interest becaming in a short time the summer residence of Ferdinand King. The 7 km long and 100-200 m width beach has very fine sand. Due to its excellent location, the breezes which are blowing from the direction of the sea or the lake, mollify the summer's hot days.
